Officially BMW has introduced M4 CS globally for the first time at Shanghai Auto Show, China. The question arises, is it possible M4 CS is present to replace the role of M4 GTS?
"GTS is no longer produced, but that does not mean the presence of M4 CS to replace the GTS because the M4 CS is under the GTS," said BMW M Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Peter Quintus, in Incheon, Korea.
Not up there, on the same occasion Peter also said, until now GTS has sold more than 800 units spread across the world. This is certainly reasonable, given the BMW M4 GTS produced in limited, even Indonesia only got some units only.
"In the world of BMW M4 GTS has sold up to 800 units, while for BMW M4 CS, we intend to sell more, reaching 2-3 thousand units worldwide, which means more than GTS," he said.
As a BMW M4 CS note, it offers a 3.0-liter engine. Despite having the same engine as GTS, this machine is promised will be able to improve performance thanks to Competition Package up to 10 horsepower to 460 hp.
By carrying TwinPower Turbo M technology, M4 CS can run 0-100 km / h in just 3.9 seconds, and able to reach top speed up to 280 km / hour. Thanks to the inline six-cylinder engine, two mono-scroll turbochargers, charge air cooler, High Precision Injection, VALVETRONIC variable valve timing and Double-VANOS fully variable camshaft timing, the best performance will be owned by this German car.
However BMW M4 CS is promised to remain efficient, with fuel consumption level of 8.4 liters / 100 km. And has CO2 emissions up to 197 g / km (in testing BMW in Europe-Red). (Lth / rgr)
