Car sales in May was up compared to April 2017. In total there were 94,123 units of cars sold to dealerships, up about 5 percent from 89,587 units.
MPV cars are still the prima donna in Indonesia followed by Low Cost Green Car (LCGC) model with 5 passenger and 7 passenger, SUV, and pickup.
Avanza is still the best-selling, has not moved from the first position with 8,865 units, the number is decreased when compared to April which reached 11,906 units. The second position last month occupied by LCGC 7-Seater Calya shifted by Kijang Innova with a total of 5,651 units in May.
Meanwhile, Calya was in third position with 5,317 units sold. The fourth and fifth positions are filled by LCGC 5-seater Brio Satya and Agya.
